Job summary

Sensata Technologies is seeking a Purchasing Manager to standardize purchasing methodologies and drive process improvements that minimize transactional costs for material deliveries to the plant.

You will lead a team of buyers, develop purchasing staff, and ensure adherence to established procedures and policies while coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• University degree required (Bachelor's degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Manages, evaluates, and develops a team of purchasing staff to ensure resources are used effectively and targets are met.
• Plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating needs into existing purchasing activities.
• Manages a team of buyers to ensure compliance with procedures and policies.
• Supervises and evaluates purchasing trends to optimize bulk purchases.
