OPmobility is seeking an experienced purchasing professional in Monterrey to design commodity strategies and manage supplier relationships. The role requires collaboration across project, development, quality, legal, and finance teams to drive cost savings and compliant contracts.

The candidate will lead negotiations, build cost models, and oversee RFQ processes to ensure the best economic conditions for the company’s automotive initiatives.

Formación

• 5-4 years’ experience in purchasing or related area.
• Adaptability to multicultural and cross-departmental relations.
• Business level English.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to communicate with suppliers and other functional areas.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement and present commodity strategies.
• Maintain close contact with Project, development, quality, legal, and finance.
• Develop global supplier panels according to automotive standards.
• Build cost models and conduct supplier capability audits.
• Communicate business plans with suppliers.
• Negotiate and deploy standard supplier agreements.
• Support group savings and cash-flow improvement.
• Manage transversal RFQ processes including sourcing and negotiation.
• Follow up on supplier performance with action plans.
• Assist project buyers to obtain best economic conditions.

5-4 years’ experience in purchasing area (preferably in the automotive sector) or relevant.

Having adaptability on multicultural and cross-departmental relations and team spirits

Fluency in foreign language(s) business level, English

Strong organizational skills and prioritize tasks to meet department objectives with timely manner. Ability to communicate effectively with other functional areas and suppliers.

SUPPLY BASE MANAGEMENT

Design, implement and present commodity strategies

Create and maintain close contact with different departments (Project, development, quality, legal, finance)

Develop global and robust suppliers’ panel according to automotive standards

Build cost models Conduct suppliers’ capability studies by performing on-sight evaluation audits with development and quality team

Communicate Business plan with suppliers

CONTRACT IMPLEMENTATION

Negotiate and deploy standard agreements with core suppliers

Ensure that contractual conditions and group procedures are well applied and respected by suppliers as well by project teams

Support group objectives in terms of savings and cash flow improvement

TRANSVERSAL PROJECTS MANAGEMENT

Capacity management Transversal RFQ management (including sourcing,

RFQ process, negotiation, nomination, validation follow up etc)

SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT

Performance and scorecard follow up with suppliers (including action plan management)

Supplier requests for change management

Support project buyers to obtain best economic conditions

Problem solving and look for alternative solutions
