TE Connectivity seeks a procurement professional in Hermosillo, Mexico, to ensure timely purchasing of tools, consumables, and spare parts for production and maintenance. The role emphasizes supplier management, inventory control, and PO follow-up to sustain operations and control costs.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams, manage urgent purchases, and drive continuous improvement through cost-saving initiatives and standardization of tools and consumables.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Purchasing/Procurement/Supply Chain.
• Advanced SAP knowledge preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills required.

Responsabilidades

• Procure tools, consumables, and spare parts ensuring availability for production and maintenance.
• Create and follow up on POs, including intercompany purchases.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities.
• Support production and maintenance by coordinating tool and equipment requirements.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and standardize tooling to reduce complexity.

Job Overview

Responsible for the timely procurement of tools, consumables, and spare parts for the Tool Crib, ensuring availability for production and maintenance through effective supplier management, inventory control, and purchase order follow-up, contributing to operational continuity and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing and Procurement Management

• Request quotations from suppliers.
• Evaluate and compare pricing, quality, and delivery lead times.
• Create purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders, including intercompany purchases from other TE sites.
• Follow up on purchase orders, deliveries, and committed delivery dates.

Inventory Control

• Monitor minimum and maximum inventory levels for tools and consumables.
• Analyze consumption trends to prevent stock shortages and excess inventory.
• Coordinate inventory replenishment activities.
• Review and support cycle counts and physical inventory audits.

Production and Maintenance Support

• Ensure the availability of tools and consumables required for production operations.
• Manage urgent purchases to prevent production downtime.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams regarding special tooling and equipment requirements.

Analysis and Continuous Improvement

• Identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Standardize tools and consumables to reduce inventory complexity and optimize stock levels.

Develop And Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Including

• Cost savings generated
• On-time deliveries
• Tool Crib service level
• Inventory value

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related areas.

Technical Knowledge

• Advanced SAP knowledge (preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills:
