Job Summary

Public Cloud Financial Operations Analyst – This role is responsible for developing IT strategies aligned with a high‑impact business agenda and collaborating with vendors and senior management to define information needs and sustain service levels. The analyst assists in managing IT spends and investments, resolving operational issues directly with clients, and serving as a representative of relevant stakeholders to ensure consistency in plans between IT and respective entities. The position aims to foster a culture of accountability regarding efficient cloud usage and spending, collaborating closely with finance teams to ensure rigorous cloud expenditures. The analyst will play a crucial role in our cloud financial operations, ensuring the efficient and effective use of our cloud resources while driving results.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and drive IT strategies to align with high‑impact business agendas, supporting the business segment and integration with other functional IT partners.
  • Collaborate with vendors, industry consultants, and senior company management to define information needs, develop cases and priorities, sustain service levels, and proactively lead business demands.
  • Assist in managing spends and IT investments according to plan while ensuring timely work during budget and forecast processes.
  • Work directly with clients, internal or external, to resolve operational issues, utilizing technical expertise.
  • Serve as a representative of the business, function, or geography, ensuring ongoing congruence in plans between IT and respective entities.
  • Identify opportunities where the business, function, or geography can leverage standardized IT solutions and actively promote their adoption.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with pivotal tactical leaders and business implementation leads, leveraging extensive business acumen across multiple domains to foster engagement in major IT endeavors.
  • Advocate for the proliferation of best practices developed between businesses, functions, or geographies and other counterparts.
  • Apply advanced subject‑matter knowledge, lead and contribute to complex projects, and exercise independent judgment to resolve business issues and establish policies.
  • Develop and build productive internal/external working relationships and provide mentoring and guidance to lower‑level employees.
  • Partner with the Cloud platform team to prioritize and implement cost‑optimization recommendations and best practices.
  • Create reports and processes to effectively monitor Cloud spend; prepare and present Cloud financial data to inform IT, Finance, and business leadership of budget forecasting and synergies.
Education & Experience
  • Four‑year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically 7‑10 years of experience, preferably in IT projects, process improvement, or a related field.

Compensation & Benefits
  • The base pay range for this role is $93,400 to $127,000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
