Turner & Townsend is seeking an seasoned MEP Project Manager to lead industrial and data center construction projects in Mexico. You will oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while coordinating diverse teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in construction PM, 5+ years as the lead coordinating MEP, and fluent English/Spanish, with BIM and project management software proficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in construction project management.
• Minimum 5 years as the responsible lead coordinating MEP design and construction for industrial/data center projects.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; ability to lead meetings and prepare technical docs.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee MEP systems on industrial and data center projects, ensuring compliance with specs and Mexican regulations.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams with accountability and ownership.
• Verify compliance of electromechanical systems with project specs, codes, and Mexican standards.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation with accuracy and transparency.
• Evaluate contractor qualifications and performance; provide clear direction.
• Conduct design reviews to define scope, drawings, and specs with stakeholders.
• Perform on-site inspections of piping and equipment to ensure quality.
• Enforce safety regulations and best practices across all project phases.
• Maintain project risk register and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead value engineering initiatives to improve efficiency.
• Facilitate team meetings and client communications with formal reports.

Seasoned MEP Project Manager with extensive experience leading industrial and data center construction projects. Proven expertise in managing multidisciplinary teams, MEP systems, project execution, commissioning, and regulatory compliance, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems on industrial construction and data center projects, ensuring strict compliance with technical specifications and Mexican regulatory requirements.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams with accountability and ownership, maintaining high standards of project execution and delivery.
• Verify compliance of electromechanical and special systems with project specifications, applicable codes, and Mexican standards.
• Prepare, review, and maintain complete project documentation, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and traceability of all records.
• Evaluate and manage contractor qualifications and performance, providing clear direction to ensure optimal project outcomes.
• Conduct design reviews to define and clarify scope of work, technical drawings, and project specifications with all stakeholders.
• Perform on-site inspections of piping systems, equipment fabrication, and installation activities to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
• Enforce safety regulations and industry best practices throughout all project phases, maintaining a zero-tolerance approach toward non-compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments and maintain the project risk register, identifying and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Lead value engineering initiatives and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Facilitate project team meetings and client communications, preparing formal reports, meeting minutes, and technical correspondence.
• Oversee commissioning activities for electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems in accordance with project requirements and specifications.
• Manage project schedules, budget allocations, and resource planning, maintaining full accountability for project deliverables and outcomes.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in construction project management.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience serving as the responsible project lead, coordinating the design and construction of MEP systems for industrial, manufacturing, or data center projects.
• Demonstrated experience with electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems.
• Proven experience commissioning complex MEP systems.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican regulatory requirements, codes, and compliance standards.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to lead meetings, prepare technical documentation, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in risk management and implementation of safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Institute (PMI) certification (PMP preferred).
• Experience with sustainable construction projects and/or LEED-certified developments.
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and project management software.
• Experience leading value engineering initiatives and process optimization efforts.
• Proven track record managing large-scale and complex construction projects in Mexico.
