Aptiv PLC is seeking a Project Manager located in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico to lead global project execution across various teams. In this role, you will work on advanced ECU systems that enhance vehicle safety and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.

Formación

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, ideally in automotive or similar industries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in risk identification.
  • Experience managing project financials, budgets, and KPIs.

YOUR ROLE

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for leading global, cross-functional teams from business award through product launch and end-of-life, ensuring the successful delivery of advanced ECU systems that enhance vehicle safety. The role focuses on driving execution excellence, managing risks, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring projects meet timeline, budget, and quality expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Drive end-to-end project execution from award to product launch and lifecycle completion.

  • Own and champion the overall project plan, including milestones, reviews, and deliverables.

  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration across Engineering, Quality, Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders.

  • Proactively manage project risks and issues, including mitigation strategies and escalation when required.

  • Ensure effective change management and alignment across all stakeholders.

  • Monitor and manage critical path activities to ensure timely delivery.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring continuous communication and alignment.

  • Provide regular project status reporting (KPIs, risks, progress, financials, executive updates).

  • Ensure resource planning and staffing are aligned with project needs.

  • Manage project financials, including CAPEX planning, tracking, and budget compliance.

  • Drive adherence to PMO/program management processes and governance (e.g., gate reviews).

  • Promote a “one team” mindset and foster collaboration across regions and functions.

  • Capture and implement lessons learned to improve future project and organizational performance.

  • Support sales activities by providing input on feasibility, cost, and product roadmap considerations.

  • Coordinate global workforce planning to support program delivery across regions.

  • Oversee project tools setup in collaboration with IT (engineering and collaboration tools).

  • Ensure alignment with strategic and financial targets, including forecasting and planning.

Must Haves
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).

  • +5 years of experience as a Project Manager, ideally in automotive or similar industries.

  • Strong project management expertise (PMP certification preferred).

  • Proven ability to manage cross‑functional and global teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, especially in risk identification and mitigation.

  • Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under remote supervision with high accountability.

  • Experience managing project financials, budgets, and KPIs.

  • Strong stakeholder management and customer‑facing experience.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and complex projects simultaneously.

  • Experience in resource planning and workforce optimization.

  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on team empowerment and ownership (E2E accountability).

  • Strong collaboration skills across engineering, commercial, and operational teams.

  • High standards of professionalism and alignment with company values.

  • Experience driving execution within budget, timeline, and quality constraints.
