Descripción del empleo

As Project Manager initially you will devote your time in three key areas: Lead and coordinate torches projects developed in Germany/India and destined for launch in NAM/SAM; Lead and coordinate other projects like PPE, or power sources developed in NAM/Germany/Sweden/India/China and destined for launch in Hermosillo; and provide project management knowledge and support for the launch of other projects as required by the business needs. You are expected to be a master in Project Management Systems and have proven track record of working in international cross-functional teams. You will actively contribute to improve processes and procedures in the organization. You will work closely with the Director of Program Management on many other duties, which will give you the opportunity for personal development and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Cross-functional leadership of R&D delivery teams, Product Management, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, After Market and Marketing, to secure successful deliveries of products. Maintains status dashboard for own projects, track and take action on top quality claims and project complexity
• The position carries an objective of being in the forefront of leading the change within the R&D organization in a global (Americas, Europe, India and China) and multicultural dimension.
• Deliver assigned project at estimated time, cost, quality and scope (through leading project planning, structuring project organization, leading risk management activities and handling scope management with stakeholders) according to best practice project management, the APD model and established R&D procedures.
• Lead project related decision making on project priorities in order to achieve project goals.
• Contributing to adequate make/buy partner decisions
• Secure an effective communication flow with internal and external stakeholders.
• Continuously drive down time to market, improving efficiency and product quality in our development projects.
• Prepare presentations and present status of assigned projects at Decision Point Committee (DPC).
• Financial planning and follow-up of assigned projects.
• Participate in ongoing continuous improvements of project management practices, the APD process and internal procedures.
• Development of core team members’ leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Great leadership and management skills; proven ability in situational leadership, developing other individuals and coordinate planning and risk management of small to medium projects
• Experience of running projects in an international environment
• Excellent communication skills on all levels in a company, in English
• Experience of leading cross-functional product development projects including stakeholders in all parts of the company
• Experience in product development for complex systems and also development processes for this type of products
• Strong own track record of successful project management/launch management in relevant product development
• B. Sc. or M.Sc. in Science (for example Computer Science, Electronics, Industrial Management, Automation)
• Min 4-5 years of relevant experience
• Some travel required
