Construction Specialties is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate orders from review through completion, interfacing with internal departments and customers. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills and knowledge of construction/fabrication methods.

You will lead meetings, track progress, manage drawings, and ensure timely updates while maintaining project documentation and responding to RFIs. A related degree and 3–5 years of experience are expected.

Formación

  • Associate degree or equivalent with 3–5 years of related experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Knowledge of construction and fabrication methods/processes
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam and Windows Office

Responsabilidades

  • Coordinate and attend meetings with production, drafting, kickoff, project review, and customer/conference calls
  • Maintain project review lists and ensure effective communication across internal departments and customers
  • Review drawings against contracts and quotes; manage change control and RFI responses
  • Support material planning with production and purchasing to meet deadlines
  • Update order notes and maintain electronic and physical files/folders

SCOPE OF POSITION:

The primary responsibility of the ProjectManager is to m anage and coordinate the progress of orders bymeans of order review, meetings, follow up and communication with internaldepartments and Customers until completion.The Project Manager will coordinateamongst various business unit(s), manage and/or evaluate development of theseprojects with varied complexities. Through initial review/meetings, havebeneficial knowledge of job specific requirements that are effectivelycommunicated and controlled through prepared status reports, meetings, andupdates. Represent the company as a professionaland knowledgeable resource that can be relied on for a successful andprofitable completion.

ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete knowledge of project orders
  • Coordinate/Attend meetings (i.e. production,drafting, kickoff, project review, customer/conference calls)
  • Maintain project review list
  • Coordination between all internal departmentsand customer regarding shop drawings, order changes, and any other topicsduring project
  • Review and understand any internal department’squestions, concerns and or RFI’s (request for information); respond in a timelymanner through phones calls and emails.
  • Follow up with internal departments regardingproject statuses
  • Review drawings against the contract and/orLetter of Intent and or Quote and or clear Sales direction
  • Understanding and knowledge of our products,fabrication processes of the different products, building construction, andcontract document knowledge
  • Follow upon all jobs that are out for approvalbut jobs that are in drafting or released
  • Trouble shooting details, materials, or fieldconflicts
  • Update system order notes when necessary
  • Maintain both electronic and physicalfiles/folders
  • Implement and deliver solution-drivenstrategies
  • Work closely with production and purchasing togive a pro-active approach for materials required and deadlines

Prioritize and delegate tasks to AssistantProject Manage

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION:
  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent fromtwo-year college or technical school and three to five years related experience and/or training; orequivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, oral andwritten
  • Knowledge of Construction and fabricationmethods/processes
  • Knowledge of BPCS, Windows Office programs,Understands AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam
  • Detail-Oriented
  • Able to multi-task and handle several projects at one-time
  • Experience with reviewing architectural andstructural drawings
  • Ability to read rough or detailed sketches,designs, specifications and/or notes, analyze, and interpret architectural andstructural drawings
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonalrelationships. Knowledge of how tomanage and work with contractors.
  • Computer literacy, specifically in Excelspreadsheets.
