Hussmann is hiring a Project Engineer I in Tijuana, Mexico. The role focuses on developing innovative products and engineering projects that meet quality, performance, and cost targets throughout the product development lifecycle.

You will design and test new products, create CAD models, conduct validations, and coordinate projects with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery. Strong English skills and CAD/SAP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in product design, manufacturing engineering, or project engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of product development processes is preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and ECO/ECN concepts.
• Familiarity with GD&T and DFx principles.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD) and SAP knowledge.
• Advanced English proficiency is required.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop new products and engineering solutions.
• Create 2D and 3D CAD models, prototypes, and engineering drawings.
• Conduct product testing, data analysis, and design validation.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and product usability.
• Prepare technical documentation, engineering reports, and product specifications.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering projects from concept through implementation.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams.
• Develop project cost estimates and support budget planning.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the implementation of new technologies.
