Job summary

Sensient Technologies Corporation is seeking a capital projects engineer to lead and support critical capital projects, driving performance, efficiency, and cost reductions across site operations in Mexico. You will coordinate with EHS, Quality, Maintenance, and Production to deliver projects, manage P&IDs and layouts, and ensure timely closures.

Strong English and a PM certification are preferred. You will work onsite five days a week with opportunities for development and training during

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of capital project execution experience with PM certification preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge across civil, mechanical, electrical, process and environmental engineering.
• Experience with JD Edwards or similar systems, plus AutoCAD 2D/3D, SolidWorks and Visio.
• Intermediate to advanced English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support capital projects that improve business performance, processes, and operational efficiency.
• Optimize project execution by maximizing resources, reducing costs and lead times, and improving project timelines.
• Support the identification, planning, management, execution, and successful closure of capital projects (CARs).
• Monitor project progress and provide daily, weekly, and monthly updates to Engineering Management.
• Collaborate with site teams across EHS, Quality, Maintenance, and Production to deliver successful projects.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including P&IDs, layouts, capacity studies, and calculations, while supporting root cause analysis and deviation resolution.
