Donaldson is seeking a Project Engineer to lead and coordinate global new product development projects, collaborating with manufacturing plants across Mexico and internationally to develop and launch global product platforms.

You will leverage project management, APQP, and manufacturing expertise to drive cross-functional teams from design through industrialization and mass production, delivering on quality, schedule, and cost targets.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• +3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
• Proficiency with Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA.

Responsabilidades

• Review product designs and provide feedback based on manufacturing capabilities.
• Assess capabilities and estimate investments to integrate new processes.
• Plan, monitor, execute, and deliver projects to quality, timing, cost, and safety targets.
• Lead cross-functional teams and track deliverables across all phases.
• Coordinate handover to plants and ensure documentation is complete.

We are looking for a Project Engineer to lead and coordinate global new product development projects, collaborating with manufacturing plants across Mexico and internationally to develop and launch global product platforms.

In this role, you will leverage your project management, APQP, manufacturing, organizational, and leadership skills to drive cross-functional teams and manage projects from the design phase through industrialization and mass production.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain global exposure, lead complex projects, collaborate across international teams, and turn innovative product concepts into successful production launches.

Role Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact between Corporate Engineering and manufacturing plants.
• Review and understand product design intent and provide feedback to Product Design Engineers based on the manufacturing capabilities of each plant.
• Assess manufacturing capabilities and identify process constraints, while estimating the investment required to integrate new processes into the production chain.
• Plan, monitor, execute, and deliver projects according to established quality, timing, cost, and safety targets and performance metrics.
• Generate, maintain, and track project deliverables throughout all project phases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during product and process trials, conducting root-cause analysis and documenting lessons learned.
• Lead follow-up meetings with Corporate Engineering and manufacturing sites in Mexico to ensure effective project tracking, alignment, and communication.
• Analyze engineering drawings, product specifications, customer requirements, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Coordinate product and process trials, including sample builds, process validation, and product validation activities.
• Develop and issue process documentation required throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate the final project handover to the manufacturing plant, ensuring all deliverables, documentation, and requirements are successfully transferred.

Travel: Up to 30% (If Applicable)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or chemical engineering, or a related field.
• +3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
• Proficiency in Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
• Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D.
