Turner & Townsend in Monterrey, Mexico, is seeking a Project Coordinator to drive the delivery of civil and finishes works for a major industrial facility. You will coordinate with project managers, contractors, and client stakeholders to keep work safe, on schedule, and within budget while upholding quality standards.

The role requires 5–7 years' experience in coordinating civil/industrial projects, proficiency in English and Spanish, and strong collaboration across disciplines.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience coordinating construction projects, with civil/industrial focus.
  • Experience on manufacturing, industrial, logistics, automotive, or large-scale projects is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of drawings, specs, quality standards, and project controls.

Responsabilidades

  • Coordinate day-to-day civil and architectural finishes activities on site.
  • Monitor project progress, schedules, deliverables, and contractor performance.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and packages for alignment with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to resolve issues.
  • Track risks, change requests, action items, and milestones; escalate as needed.
  • Support quality inspections and site walkthroughs to verify compliance.
  • Prepare project reports, meeting minutes, progress updates, and status presentations.
  • Promote safe working practices and adherence to procedures and site regulations.

Job Description

Help bring world-class industrial facilities to life by coordinating the successful delivery of civil and architectural finishes works. This role is ideal for a construction professional who thrives in dynamic project environments and is passionate about driving quality, schedule, and stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Purpose of the Role

The Project Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, and execution of civil and finishes activities for a major industrial manufacturing project. Working closely with project managers, contractors, and client stakeholders, this role will help ensure that works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to the highest quality standards.

Core Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day-to-day civil and architectural finishes activities across the project site.
  • Monitor project progress, schedules, deliverables, and contractor performance to support timely project execution.
  • Review technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and construction packages to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to resolve project issues and maintain workflow continuity.
  • Track project risks, change requests, action items, and key milestones, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Support quality inspections and site walkthroughs to verify compliance with project standards and specifications.
  • Prepare project reports, meeting minutes, progress updates, and status presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure adherence to project procedures, quality requirements, and site regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience coordinating construction projects, with a focus on civil works, architectural finishes, or industrial facilities.
  • Experience working on manufacturing, industrial, logistics, automotive, or large-scale construction projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and project controls processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and project reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in fast-paced construction environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Professional proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
