Job summary

FORTNA seeks a Finance/Project Controls professional to implement project control methodology and manage financial performance for client projects, including international purchases and tax considerations. The role requires interaction with management at all levels and a focus on billings, milestones, and progress reporting.

The ideal candidate has a Finance/Accounting degree, 8+ years of accounting experience, and advanced English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum of eight (3) years of related accounting experience.
• Advanced English.

Responsibilities

• Managing the financial aspects of assigned Client projects in support of the delivery project manager.
• Managing project billings activities, including review and validation of contact milestones, progress billings, change orders, and customer invoicing.
• Leading customer-facing discussions related to billing, payment status, contract payment terms, and disputed invoices to support positive cash flow performance.
• Implementing effective performance measurement (earned value) processes with the project management team.
• Interfacing with project accountants assigned as support on projects.
• Supporting Finance with international tax reporting issues (corporate and individual).
• Supporting Procurement as required on international purchases, importing, duties, etc.
• Communicating contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services.
• Analyzing project variances including delayed collections and forecasted cost overruns.
• Appropriately communicating this information to management.
• Maintaining a continuous line of communication to rectify any open issues.
• Implementing agreed-upon process improvements to all aspects of the project controls/earned value measurement function.
