Job Description

We are looking for a Progress Expert to assist in new software releases.

Plan, design, develop and execute test cases / Automated test scripts for new development projects.

Work within project teams to identify product defects as early as possible in the development lifecycle.

Work within the release team to identify defects in the integrated product to determine overall product quality in multiple customer cloud environments.

What you will do

• Plan, develop, implement and execute project-level functional tests and integration tests.
• Plan, implement and execute product-level system, installation, conversion and performance tests and 3rd party product-level installation and interface tests.
• Work closely with cross functional engineering teams and process experts in the cloud environment.
• Analyze results, generate defect reports in the project's defect tracking tool and verify fixes.
• Work with business and developers to identify functional tests that determine whether the project satisfies requirements and that actual behavior matches desired behavior.
• Review unit tests to determine product's readiness for functional testing.
• Participate in project-level verification activities (reviews, inspections and walk-throughs) to become familiar with project requirements, design, etc.
• Analyze test results and ensure test completion.
• Document, retest and track defects until resolved.
• Define, produce, maintain and report applicable test metrics.
• Drive quality and process improvement within the team and group by active participation in Skillbase projects necessary to keep current with best practices in testing.
• Coordinate meetings with different groups.
• Participate in ISO Quality System audits and meetings.
• Investigate opportunities for test automation.

Qualifications

What you will need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Related careers.
• Computer skills: Progress 4GL, Microsoft Office, JIRA, Testing Methodology, SQL.
• Other knowledge or skills: Familiar with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Lean Manufacturing, Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
