A leading manufacturing company in Tijuana is seeking an experienced supervisor to manage assembly lines. Responsibilities include overseeing personnel, ensuring production schedules are met, and maintaining compliance with company policies. Candidates should have at least three years of supervisory experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and be bilingual in English and Spanish. Proficiency in SAP and problem-solving techniques is essential.
Supervise up to 60 direct personnel.
Be leader for the BPS fundamental in his/her assembly line(s) or cell(s).
Complete all established paperwork related to his/her assembly line(s) or cell(s), including administrative and transaction records.
Comply with all the Company Policies and Procedures and secure that all personnel under his/hersupervision also comply with this requirement.
Secure that the Back-flush transaction and maintain the wip accuracy.
Accomplish the established production schedule for quantity and timeframe.
Secure that the product produced in his/her assembly line(s) or cell(s), comply with the establishedrequirements indicated in a drawing, specification or any official document.
Able to communicate and negotiate with people other than those in his/her assembly line(s) or cell(s).
Develop personnel under his/her supervision, through cross-training and formal training.
Supervise up to 3 different assembly lines or cells, and up to 6 lines or cells with the support of one ormore production coordinators.
Be able to utilize properly and efficiently the SAP system commands related with operations.
Be able to make decisions for line changeovers, use of available material, and maximize productionoutput and any other related to production.
Participate in the selection of direct personnel related to production.
Consistently pursuit on metric’s attainment of his/her assembly line(s) or cell(s).
Consistently achieve or exceed established productivity goal in his/her assembly line(s) or cell(s).
Focused on consistently maintain the scrap results below the budgeted goal for his/her assembly line(s) or cell(s).
Committed to actively participate in brainstorming the team when facing process changes and/or newproducts introductions.
Provide contribution in the improvement, modification and utilization of production equipment andmachinery.
Report discrepancies found in the WIP material through the proper use of QN’s using SAP.
REPORT RESULTS TO MANAGEMENT
Maintain updated and post all production metrics.
Education: Bachelor degree
Experience: Preferably at least three (3) years of experience in a Manufacturing supervision position ortwo (2) years of outstanding supervisory experience as a supervisor 1.
Abilities: Skilled in problem solving techniques and project management.
Ability to coach and motivate group leaders and operators to promote continuous improvement and waste elimination.
Core Team Leadership Skills
Bilingual. Able to communicate in English and Spanish languages. Be able to read technical documentswritten in English.
Ability and knowledge of Windows system, Tress supervisors, Workflow, Excel, Word and SAP.
Fully capable to use Manufacturing techniques for decision making and problem solving like Pareto, 5why’s, SPC, Fishbone, SMED, 5’s, 8’D’s.
