Jabil invites applications for a Production Line Leader in Chihuahua, Mexico. The role focuses on scheduling, site management, and leading a manufacturing team. You will drive improvements across efficiency, quality, safety, and cost control while coordinating with multiple departments.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 2+ years in a similar Line Leader Production Group.
  • Experience with SAP and Jabil software tools.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for production site command and production status management, track production progress, and ensure that all production plans are completed on time.
  • Coordinate human resources in combination with production and promote the team to continuously improve various performance indicators.
  • Production efficiency improvement and optimization.
  • Quality management, improve the quality level, ensure that all team members work according to the documents.
  • Responsible for cost control, including but not limited to the control of personnel, working hours, auxiliary materials and scrap.
  • Team personnel training and development, improve team morale, ensure that all operators are strictly trained and certified.
  • Cross-departmental and team communication and coordination.
  • Production site management (5S, EHS, discipline etc.), maintain the work site 5S to meet the standard requirements.
  • Lean production and continuous improvement and innovation, identifying creative ways to reduce costs by streamlining processes and systems.
  • Provide digital solutions, on-site execution and process analysis.
  • Staff care: Care about the life and work status of employees, timely solve the problems of employees, and promote team building.
  • Perform other duties according to the instructions of manufacturing manager/production line manager and workshop manager, and obey other tasks assigned by superior supervisor.
Hard skills
  • Proficiency with Jabil’s software packages
  • Interpretation of safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals
  • Writing routine reports and correspondence
  • Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, decimals)
  • Computing rate, ratio, and percent; interpreting bar graphs

Academic level (minimum required)
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in similar Line Leader Production Group
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience
  • Two to three years of experience in similar Line Leader Production Group
  • Experience using SAP and Jabil software tools.
  • Experience using Microsoft software tools or similar.
Domain of operations
  • Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively in front of groups or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Responsible for assisting in the execution of an achievable production schedule.
Authority
  • Reports to the Manufacturing Manager / Production Line Manager (Exempt position, Job Grade P01).
  • Has the authority to coordinate production personnel and make operational decisions related to meeting the production schedule, quality, cost, and 5S requirements within their area of responsibility.
