• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 3 years of progressive accounting experience; 1–2 years in production accounting.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting, multi-currency transactions, and GAAP/IFRS.
• Experience with Workday or Coupa and advanced Excel skills.

Responsabilidades

• Production Accounting Operations: supervise daily financial activities including invoice coding, expense verification, GL alignment, and budget category adherence.
• Month-End Close & Accruals: lead closing schedules, prepare accruals, prepaid amortization, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Cost & Variance Analysis: analyze production costs, identify trends, and opportunities to reduce spend.
• Vendor & Partner Management: onboarding and documentation reviews for new vendors and third-party agreements.
• Reporting: weekly/monthly production reports and cost variance analyses for management.
• Audit & Internal Controls: maintain internal controls and coordinate SOX compliance and audit deliverables.
• Collaboration & Leadership: coordinate with Finance, Accounting, and operations across regions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a proactive, highly organized, and analytical Production Finance Supervisor to join the FOX team in Mexico City. This role bridges the gap between high-level financial analysis and hands-on operational management. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of production expenses, from reviewing and coding invoices to preparing month-end accruals and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, expertise in production accounting workflows, can manage high volumes of data independently, and possesses the analytical rigor to ensure all production schedules are accurate and compliant, fast-paced media environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Accounting Operations: Supervise daily production financial activities, including invoice coding, expense verification, GL alignment, and adherence to budget categories.
• Month-End Close & Accruals: Lead and streamline monthly, quarterly, and annual closing schedules for production, preparing complex accruals for goods and services received, flash accruals, prepaid talent amortization, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Cost & Variance Analysis: Proactively analyze production costs to identify trends, potential budget overages, and opportunities for cost reductions. Conduct variance analysis comparing actual spend against forecasted budgets.
• Vendor & Partner Management: Oversee onboarding and documentation reviews for new production vendors, partners, and third-party agreements in coordination with regional guidelines.
• Reporting: Weekly/monthly production reports, and financial analytics highlighting program cost variances and seasonal trends for management.
• Audit & Internal Controls: Maintain and enforce robust internal control policies across production activities. Take an active role in coordinating SOX compliance, internal controls testing, and audit deliverables.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Serve as a key liaison between Finance, Accounting, and operational stakeholders to resolve unusual items, and ensure multi-country production initiatives move forward smoothly.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Experience: 3 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with at least 1–2 years specializing in Production Accounting.
• Language Skills: Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of accrual-based accounting, multi-currency transactions, and regional tax/statutory requirements. Solid proficiency in local GAAP, US GAAP, and/or IFRS.
• Systems Experience: Hands-on experience with major ERP systems. Proficiency in Workday, Coupa, or similar financial software is highly desirable. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas).
• Leadership & Analytical Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage high-volume transactions under tight cross-border deadlines.
