The role includes mentoring junior staff, coordinating with shared service centers, and driving process improvements across multi-country operations.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with 1–2 years supervising or mentoring accounting staff within a multinational environment.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Deep expertise in Mexican CFDI 4.0 invoicing/tax regulations and knowledge of Central American tax requirements; working knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with multi-entity financial software like Workday, Coupa or Graphite; advanced Excel skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to join the FOX team in Mexico City. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day general accounting operations, manage AR workflows, and drive the month-end closing process across Mexico and Central America. Serving as a crucial bridge between operational execution and managerial oversight, you will ensure total financial accuracy, regional tax compliance (including Mexican CFDI 4.0 and local tax/e-invoicing regulations across Central American countries), and strict alignment with US GAAP and local statutory standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, expertise in multi-entity regional accounting, and proven experience guiding junior accounting staff within a dynamic, fast-paced multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regional Accounting Operations: Supervise daily accounting activities across Mexico and Central American entities, including general ledger maintenance, AR operational cycle, accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets.
• Month-End Close: Lead and streamline monthly, quarterly, and annual closing schedules for regional entities, preparing and reviewing complex journal entries, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Tax Compliance & Invoicing Standards: Ensure strict adherence to local tax regulations across all assigned jurisdictions (including Mexican CFDI 4.0, payment complements, and Central American e-invoicing and tax requirements).
• Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with shared service centers, corporate finance, regional tax, and treasury teams.
• Audit & Internal Controls: Maintain and enforce robust internal control policies across regional entities. Assist the Accounting Manager in coordinating internal and external audit deliverables for local and corporate audits.
• Process Optimization: Actively identify opportunities to standardize and automate accounting processes across countries.
• Stakeholder & Customer Management: Serve as a key escalation point for complex cross-border customer reconciliations, regional onboarding due diligence, and multi-country operational inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Experience: 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years supervising or mentoring accounting staff within a multinational corporate environment. Experience managing or supporting Central American entities is highly preferred.
• Language Skills: Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required.
• Technical & Tax Expertise: Deep expertise in Mexican electronic invoicing/tax regulations (CFDI 4.0) and working knowledge of Central American tax and statutory requirements. Solid proficiency in local GAAP and working knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Systems Experience: Hands-on experience with major ERP systems. Familiarity with multi-entity financial software and tools such as Workday, Coupa, or Graphite is highly desirable. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Leadership & Analytical Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage tight deadlines and multi-country priorities.
