We are seeking a Product Engineer based in Mexicali, Mexico, to lead and support various technical activities involved in the manufacturing of ICN products. This position requires strong communication skills, teamwork, and close collaboration with global manufacturing and engineering teams.
What You’ll Do
- Define and optimize manufacturing processes considering testing requirements and collaboration with cross‑functional product development teams.
- Act as the local factory contact for R&D and NPI Product Engineers during early development stages.
- Participate in DFM/A (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Repair) reviews, identifying opportunities for process optimization.
- Review development prototypes and generate recommendations during Design for Readiness (DRR) phases.
- Prepare and deliver regular project status reports (written and verbal) in English.
- Plan and coordinate product launches and pilot runs at production sites.
- Introduce and validate new manufacturing processes, including setup, commissioning, and training.
- Troubleshoot and support on‑site production activities and documentation.
- Conduct process analysis, continuous improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Review and validate production layouts and workflows.
- Support automation initiatives and monitor product testing activities.
- Contribute to FAE (First Article Evaluation) creation as part of quality assurance during product launches.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Several years of experience handling RF measuring devices and test automation.
- Solid knowledge of electronics (RF, digital, analog) and assembly of complex electro‑mechanical systems.
- Hands‑on experience with one or more modules such as RF amplifiers, duplexers, or analog RF submodules.
- Experience in contract or captive manufacturing environments is desirable.
- Strong teamwork, assertiveness, and proactive communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel).
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written.
- Must reside in Mexicali, MX, with the ability to commute to the manufacturing site daily.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally (Europe, Asia, South‑East Asia, North America).
