Job summary

BorgWarner in Torreón, Mexico seeks an experienced engineer to manage engineering changes, review technical requirements, and coordinate prototype builds. You will update BOMs and drawings, perform DFMEA updates, and support validation tests with product labs.

The role requires an electronics/mechanical/EM degree and automotive industry background, with strong English skills for communication and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics, Mechanical or Electromechanically.
• Experience in the automotive industry.
• English language required (speaking/writing).

Responsibilities

• Submit and/or follow up Engineering Change Request (CR)/ Change Notification (CN).
• Customer Technical Requirements review.
• Customer communication/report.
• Bill of Materials (BOM) update and release.
• Product Drawings update and release.
• DFMEA update and release.
• Engineering test specifications update and release.
• Quote prototype samples to customers.
• Coordinate and report validation tests with product laboratories.
• Solve problems according to the product line needs.
• Coordinate prototype builds in plant with prototype/production teams.
• IMDS Submission.
• Production plant technical support.
• Design changes technical review.
