Job summary

Forvia in Puebla is seeking a Development Engineer to define and develop products and processes that meet quality, cost and timing targets for customers and group standards. You will work with cross-functional teams including suppliers and customers, manage the Program File in PDM, and follow Faurecia Excellence System guidelines to ensure robust design and manufacturing feasibility.

As a Development Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and developing products and processes that meet the quality, cost and timing targets of our customers and Group standards. You will work closely with other engineering teams, suppliers and customers to ensure the technical convergence and feasibility of the product design and manufacturing. You will also manage the Program File in Product Data Management (PDM) and follow the Faurecia Excellence System (FES) and Program Management System (PMS) guidelines.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Minimum Education Level

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, Master's degree preferred

Professional Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Product Design & Development within an industrial environment, preferably automotive.
• Experience developing metal products, structures, frames, mechanisms or similar components.
• Experience supporting products from concept through validation and production release.

Technical Skills

• Product design & development of mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as stamping, tube forming, welding and assembly.
• knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
• Familiarity with CAD and PLM tools.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, validation and problem-solving methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively with Program, Manufacturing, Quality and Validation teams.

Personal Skills

• Strong technical ownership and accountability.
• Autonomous, proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced international environment.
