Crevel Usa busca un Senior Buyer para su operación en Guadalajara, con experiencia en groceries/FMCG y red de contactos en la industria. El rol se enfocará en ampliar el portafolio, negociar costos/condiciones y desarrollar suministros para mercados de EE. UU.

y Europa, manteniendo relaciones sólidas con proveedores y equipos internos. Se valorará experiencia en ERP (incluido Odoo), Excel avanzado y capacidad proactiva para identificar oportunidades internacionales.

Formación

• Experiencia comprobada como comprador o en puesto similar en groceries/FMCG.
• Conocimiento sólido del mercado mexicano de groceries y FMCG.
• Habilidades de negociación, pagos y condiciones comerciales.

Responsabilidades

• Identificar y desarrollar nuevos proveedores, marcas y oportunidades de producto en la industria mexicana de groceries y FMCG.
• Ampliar el portafolio de productos usando contactos de mercado y la red de contactos.
• Identificar productos con alto potencial para mercados internacionales, especialmente USA y Europa.
• Negociar costos, términos de pago, MOQs, descuentos y otras condiciones comerciales.
• Desarrollar y mantener relaciones con proveedores e contactos de la industria.
• Evaluar ofertas de proveedores para mejorar márgenes y rentabilidad.
• Gestionar proveedores y órdenes de compra, seguimiento de disponibilidad y plazos.
• Identificar proveedores alternativos y soluciones para productos existentes.
• Mantenerse informado sobre tendencias de mercado, nuevas marcas y oportunidades.
• Trabajar estrechamente con ventas, logística, finanzas, cumplimiento y otros equipos.
• Mantener información de proveedores, productos y compras en ERP.

(Senior) Grocery / FMCG Buyer (Mexico) Location: Guadalajara, Mexico Department: Purchasing Position: Grocery / FMCG Buyer Position Summary We are looking for an experienced, proactive, and commercially driven Grocery / FMCG Buyer to join our purchasing team. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in the Mexican grocery, food, beverage, or FMCG industry , with strong market knowledge and, ideally, an established network of suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and industry contacts. This is not a purely administrative purchasing role. We are looking for someone who understands the grocery and FMCG market, knows how to identify new opportunities, and can independently bring new products, brands, suppliers, and commercial opportunities to the company. The role will focus on expanding our product portfolio, identifying products with potential for international markets, negotiating better costs and payment terms, and continuously improving commercial conditions with suppliers. The ideal candidate should be comfortable challenging existing costs and conditions, negotiating better terms, developing strong supplier relationships, and proactively looking for ways to improve our purchasing strategy and expand our product portfolio for the USA and European markets .

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new suppliers, brands, and product opportunities within the Mexican grocery and FMCG industry.
• Use market knowledge and industry contacts to expand the company’s product portfolio.
• Identify products with strong potential for international markets, particularly the USA and Europe.
• Negotiate and improve product costs, payment terms, minimum order quantities, discounts, and other commercial conditions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and industry contacts.
• Evaluate supplier offers and identify opportunities to improve purchasing margins and profitability.
• Manage assigned suppliers and purchase orders, including follow-up on availability, production, and delivery timelines.
• Proactively identify alternative suppliers and solutions for existing products.
• Stay informed about market trends, new brands, and relevant product opportunities.
• Work closely with Sales, Logistics, Finance, Compliance, and other internal teams.
• Maintain accurate supplier, product, and purchasing information in the company’s ERP system.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar commercial purchasing role within the grocery, food, beverage, or FMCG industry.
• Strong knowledge of the Mexican grocery and FMCG market.
• Experience working directly with suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, or import/export companies.
• An existing network of contacts within the grocery, food, beverage, or FMCG industry is highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation skills, particularly in pricing, payment terms, and commercial conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and develop new suppliers and product opportunities.
• Highly proactive, commercially minded, and able to work independently.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple suppliers, products, and priorities simultaneously.
• Experience with ERP systems; experience with Odoo is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are preferred.
• Experience with international purchasing, imports, or exports is a plus.
• English proficiency of approximately 80–90% is required for communication with international suppliers and internal teams.

Working Hours ~ Monday to Friday ~9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
