Job summary

Honeywell in Monterrey, Mexico is seeking a Procurement Buyer II to manage end-to-end purchasing activities, converting requisitions into POs, coordinating deliveries, and resolving invoices. The role partners with Planning, Sourcing, and suppliers to ensure on-time material delivery and optimal KPI performance.

You will leverage SAP/Ariba and Excel analytics to drive root-cause solutions, improve cycle times, and support global procurement processes in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of procure-to-pay processes, PO management, supplier delivery performance, invoice resolution, and vendor master data.
• Proficiency in SAP, SAP Ariba, Microsoft Office, and advanced Excel functions including PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience using data analytics and operational reporting to identify risks and improve KPIs.
• Demonstrated supplier negotiation, problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills in a global, cross-functional environment.
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas market and project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchase order execution, converting approved requisitions into compliant POs and coordinating supplier acknowledgment, delivery confirmation, goods receipt, and invoice payment.
• Collaborate with global suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, high-service delivery while maintaining performance standards.
• Monitor, analyze, and improve KPIs such as requisition-to-PO cycle time, PO acknowledgment, and invoice resolution.
• Expedite critical materials, negotiate delivery dates, and drive root-cause actions for supplier delays.
• Maintain proactive supplier communication to validate order status and resolve exceptions before impact to requirements.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and support SAP/Ariba enhancements to prevent recurrence.
• Partner with Planning, Sourcing, and suppliers to validate lead times and procurement parameters in systems.
• Administer procurement master data in SAP and related records.
• Support standardization of global purchasing processes and automation to boost productivity.
• Assist Strategic Sourcing and project teams with RFQs, supplier negotiations, and commercial terms.
• Contribute to working-capital initiatives through volume leverage and lead-time reduction.
• Maintain supplier records and ensure data accuracy and policy compliance.
• Analyze weekly purchasing reports to identify trends, risks, and actions for stakeholders.
