Jobtailor in Mexicali, Mexico, is seeking a procurement professional to oversee end-to-end procurement activities for goods and services. You will handle RFPs, negotiations, cost analysis, and supplier communications to ensure best terms for the company.

The role requires strong English proficiency, SAP experience, and the ability to work independently within a dynamic supply chain environment. A university degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Formación

• University degree or 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years if no degree.
• Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
• Experience using SAP (Procurement functions, BW, BO).
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop long-lasting supplier relationships.
• Experience with Supply Chain processes; able to work independently under pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out procurement processes including RFPs, negotation preparations, and cost analysis.
• Respond to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure satisfaction.
• Purchase goods, materials, supplies, and services to protect organizational interests.
• Prepare purchase orders, approve payments, and negotiate prices under guidance.
• Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages or delays.
• Manage relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity.
• Direct and manage schedules and purchase orders for client accounts or product families.

Responsibilities

• Carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
• Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Carries out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization’s best interest.
• Prepares purchase orders, approves payments, and negotiates prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance.
• Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
• Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity.
• Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family.

Requirements

• Typically requires a University Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 4 years of relevant experience
• Advanced English proficiency with the ability to communicate fluently and professionally in both spoken and written English.
• Experience using SAP (Procurement functions, Business Warehouse, Business Objects most preferred)
• Experienced in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
