An ICQA (Inventory Control & Quality Assurance) ACES Process Engineer's day revolves around ensuring inventory accuracy and quality control across multiple Fulfillment Centers (FCs). The day typically begins with reviewing overnight inventory discrepancy reports and analyzing ACES performance metrics.

Throughout the day, they:

  • Monitor real-time inventory accuracy metrics across assigned FCs
  • Collaborate with site ICQA teams to troubleshoot counting process issues
  • Lead problem‑solving sessions with FC leadership when systematic inventory issues arise
  • Review and validate new counting processes before network‑wide implementation
  • Develop and maintain standard work documentation for inventory control procedures
  • Conduct regular audits of ACES execution and compliance

They frequently interface with:

  • Site ICQA managers and associates
  • Operations managers
  • Software development teams
  • Other process engineers across networks
  • Quality assurance teams
  • Loss prevention specialists

Their focus remains on continuous improvement of inventory accuracy while optimizing labor efficiency through automated systems. Success is measured through reduced inventory variance, improved count accuracy, and maintaining high system availability.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and project management
  • 8+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English
  • 5+ years of project management and implementation experience, or Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically
  • 2+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience
  • Six Sigma Black Belt, or 1+ years of team management, budget responsibilities, supplier management, problem solving, and client/customer relations experience
  • Master's degree
  • 2+ years of Amazon experience, or experience in operating a store or business unit
  • Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience with end-to-end project management
  • Experience communicating to senior management and customers verbally and in writing
