Job summary

Infosys Engineering Services is seeking a Principal Consultant - Data Migration Architect to lead Teamcenter data migration for Hi-Tech customers. You will design scalable data migration architectures, map source data, and oversee integration strategies across multiple legacy and enterprise applications.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data quality, compliance, and successful deployment. The role requires extensive Teamcenter expertise, ETL know-how, and hands-on SQL skills,

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in Siemens Teamcenter data migration, solution design and implementation.
• Experience with migration from Agile PLM, TrackWise, SolidWorks PDM Vault, Autodesk Vault, SharePoint.
• Strong SQL and data validation skills at database level.

Job Description

In the assigned Job Role of Architecture Consultant 2, your Area of Responsibility will be as below: We are seeking an experienced Teamcenter Datamigration SME to support the implementation and rollout of Teamcenter for Hi-Tech customer. Consultant will closely work with stake holders and provide solution on migrating data from enterprise applications, legacy applications, inhouse applications into Teamcenter PLM

• Participate in customer discussions to gather and analyze system requirements for performance, security and scalability.
• Provide suggestions on solution architecture, contribute to tech framework development, support enterprise architecture definition, and drive design creation
• Identify suitable technologies and tools available in the market, and perform a comparative analysis in line with client's business requirement, thereby identifying optimal architectural solution options
• Participate in developing integration strategies based on validation of proof of concept of proposed architectural solutions
• Facilitate a smooth transition by ensuring knowledge transfer and adherence to quality standards, while contributing to the build and deployment automation strategy
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve complex technical issues using solution deployment and roll out methods, during build, deployment and support phases
• Analyze system performance basis architectural solutions implemented and support in identifying potential risks in the system landscape
• Create artifacts of architectural frameworks and technical solutions, thereby enriching team's knowledge repository

Required Skills

• At least 8+ years of experience in Siemens Teamcenter data migration, Solution Design and implementation knowledge, coordination with offshore development teams and Customer Management skills
• DesignCentral to Teamcenter or Agile to Teamcenter Migration Experience skill set preferred
• Must have expertise with data migration ETL concepts, data mapping and data validation to Teamcenter from legacy applications.
• Must have expertise in SQL queries and hands on working experience in Teamcenter data base level in terms of data validations
• Must have knowledge and understanding on Teamcenter data Modeling.
• Must have knowledge in migration utilities install, administration and troubleshooting.
• Define and govern the end-to-end data migration strategy, architecture, and roadmap for Teamcenter X implementations.
• Lead source-system discovery, data profiling, inventory assessment, and migration scope definition.
• Design source-to-target mapping for Teamcenter objects including Items, Revisions, BOMs, Documents, CAD Data (Solidworks), Workflows, Change Objects, and Classification Data.
• Establish data cleansing, transformation, enrichment, deduplication, archival, and retention strategies.
• Design and oversee data extraction, staging, validation, reconciliation, and loading processes.
• Lead development of migration solutions, automation utilities, scripts, and accelerators.
• Ensure data integrity, traceability, referential consistency, auditability, and regulatory compliance.
• Plan and govern mock migrations, production cutovers, rollback strategies, and hypercare support.
• Define migration quality metrics, reconciliation reports, and exception management processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, SMEs, architects, and technical teams to ensure migration readiness and successful deployment.
• Experience on migrating product, quality, CAD, and document data from platforms such as Agile PLM, TrackWise, Solidwork PDM Vault,Autodesk Vault, Altium 365, SharePoint, and Documentum will be added advantage

Preferred Skills

• Siemens Teamcenter certification(s) will be an added advantage.
• Experience with Teamcenter - Siemens Industry Solutions for Medical Device Technology (MDT) will be an added advantage.
• Experience in legacy PLM, QMS, and document management system retirement, including data retention and archival strategies.
• Exposure to regulated industries such as Life Sciences and Medical Devices, with a strong understanding of validation, compliance, traceability, and audit requirements.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud-based data migration and staging environments supporting Teamcenter X SaaS implementations.

Nice to have

• Good to have basic knowledge in ITK utilities creations and customizations.
• Good to have knowledge in Teamcenter configuration to meet business process and customer requirements
• Good to have basic knowledge in BMIDE, Rich Client plugin & AWC.
• Good to have knowledge in Teamcenter with Linux environments.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
