Job summary

Zillow Group seeks a Principal Software Development Engineer for our Mexico team, collaborating with US tech teams to simplify and automate real estate workflows. You’ll lead end-to-end delivery, design new features, review code, and mentor engineers in a fast-paced, inclusive environment.

This teleworker role may travel to Mexico City for occasional events, with equity awards and a competitive base salary. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with Java, Python, NodeJS, and Go for APIs and services.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken).
• Experience with a range of persistence strategies including relational and non-relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of new features for core platforms and services.
• Review peers' code and advocate standard methodologies.
• Facilitate engineering discussions and mentor junior engineers.
• Mentor and grow team members while contributing to an inclusive, multi-functional team.
• Work on end-to-end delivery and ongoing support of projects.
