Job summary

Zillow Group Inc. in Mexico is seeking a Principal Backend Software Development Engineer to lead end-to-end project delivery for APIs and services. You will design features, review code, and mentor junior engineers within a distributed, cross-functional team.

This teleworker role allows you to work from a location of your choice in Mexico with occasional travel to Mexico City events as needed. Equity awards may accompany a competitive base salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with Java, Python, NodeJS and Go for APIs and services.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Authorized to work in Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery and ongoing support of projects end-to-end.
• Contribute to design of new features and review peers' code.
• Advocate for standard development methodologies and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in a multi-functional team.
