Job summary

ZF LIFETEC seeks a quality-focused professional to drive supplier development for Passive Safety systems across BUs and regions. You will lead supplier approvals, assessments and APQP tracking up to PPAP release, collaborating with SQA, Engineering and procurement to ensure external supplier quality.

With 1–3 years in quality or related roles and a strong automotive quality background, you will apply Six Sigma tools, GD&T and AIAG/VDA standards. IATF/VDA auditor certification is a plus.

• Excellent technical background in quality and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supplier development tasks for Passive Safety systems across BUs and regions.
• Lead supplier approvals, supplier assessment & performance, and APQP tracking up to PPAP release.
• Execute SDE tasks with Div R MM, product lines and cross-functions as SQA to ensure external supplier quality.
• Collaborate with CP, PP, SQA, Quality, PM, Engineering, Controlling, PLs, etc.
• Verify suitability of new suppliers and lead PPAP release decisions.
• Drive supplier development, troubleshooting and escalations.
• Achieve KPIs such as OTP, SLP C. Ratio, PPM, and related metrics.
• Support supplier serial production quality, logistics and efficiency.
• Contribute to Part Family Strategies, Core Eng. New developments, Purchasing savings.

Your Tasks

• Within the assigned commodity driving the supplier development tasks (L4) for Passive Safety systems, across all BUs (IRS, SBS, SWS) in any region.
• Responsible for new supplier approvals, supplier assessment & performance, technical reviews (as part of sourcing process) and APQP tracking till PPAP release (Supp. Readiness).
• Executing strategic, tactical and operational SDE tasks in collaboration with Div R MM, product lines and cross-functions as SQA to guarantee external supplier Quality.
• Collaboration with cross-functions CP, PP, SQA, Quality, PM, Engineering, Controlling, PLs, etc
• Verify the suitability of new suppliers; and lead the approval process of new components, this includes leading PSTR as mandatory part of sourcing, definition & tracking of APQP elements, decision about PPAP release.
• Drive supplier developments, troubleshooting and Escalations.
• Achieve KPI’s for OTP, SLP C. Ratio, PPM, C. Ratio & other KPI’s assigned by management.
• Actively supporting supplier serial production performance in Quality, logistic and efficiency.
• Take part & support Part Family Strategies, Core Eng. New developments, Purchasing saving activities

Your Profile

• 1-3 years of quality or related experience required.
• Experience in Quality and Eng. with excellent technical background.
• Expert in Automotive Quality tools, Six Sigma methodology, GD&T, VDA & AIAG standards specially for APQP tracking & PPAP approvals.
• Certified auditor (IATF / VDA).
