A global insurance company in Mexico is seeking an Actuarial Pricing Analyst. This role involves supporting multi-line management reporting, assisting with pricing projects, and collaborating with teams in various regions. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in an analytical discipline, fluent English, and strong Excel skills. Experience in General Insurance is preferred, and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. Formación

Chubb Overseas General (COG) is the International (non-US) general insurance operating division of Chubb. This division comprises two major businesses: one with distribution through retail brokers in five regions of the world – Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, Far East and Eurasia & Africa – and the other Chubb Global markets, with distribution through brokers in the London wholesale market and Lloyd’s.

This role is based in Mexico and is part of the overall COG P&C Actuarial Pricing team. The COG P&C pricing team supports portfolio management and pricing across all International operations. It has a high commercial focus and is embedded within the businesses with daily interaction with our underwriting teams and senior stakeholders.

The team currently consists of actuaries and actuarial students dedicated to specific lines of business – Casualty, Property, Financial Lines, Marine & DCI (Digital Commercial Insurance) – as well as the Senior P&C Pricing Actuary to whom this role reports.

Responsibilities

This role will concentrate on the collation and delivery of multi-line management reporting and supporting the line of business actuaries in delivering specific pricing projects. Activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the monthly KPI report. This includes building requested enhancements into the existing report, streamlining data, implementing process controls, analysis of results and active collaboration with the actuaries in the various regions and countries.
  • Support COG actuaries and business leaders in tracking specific exposures and performing analysis on portfolio composition as requested.
  • Support COG and regional actuaries on ad-hoc analyses that range from business plan, scenario modelling, individual case pricing, cross-regional trend analyses.
  • Support COG actuaries to deliver key pricing projects including recalibration of raters and the analyses needed to support growth in the SME and lower middle market segments.
  • Support COG actuaries in the building and testing of data assets. The role will have a heavy involvement in data initiatives.

It is expected that the candidate will work closely with offshore analysts (Mexico) supporting the COG pricing team, offshore analysts (India) supporting the regional actuarial teams, the COG pricing team (UK) and COG planning team (USA). Travel to the UK would be expected yearly.

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in an analytical discipline such as Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics.
  • Fluent English.
  • 1 to 2 yrs of experience in General Insurance (entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply as well).
  • Strong Excel skills including some experience in VBA.
  • Experience of mining and using large datasets, including basic experience with database languages such as SQL or Python. Experience in QlikView and Power BI would be a benefit.
  • Ability to work with and communicate with a wide range of internal stakeholders across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate technical positions clearly and effectively.
