Ford México is seeking a Transmission Core Engineer to develop and refine DFMEAs for ICE, Power Split, and BEV powertrains. You will model and validate design rules using SysML, participate in sign-off processes, and ensure compliance through GPDS gateways.

Success in this role requires 3+ years in powertrain development, strong MBSE skills (Cameo), and hands-on experience with DFMEA and RAAML specifications. Join a team shaping future mobility in a dynamic automotive landscape.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 3+ years of transmission or power unit development experience.
• 3+ years experience with FMA Development (DFMEA, RCL, P-Diagram).
• Advanced knowledge of Models Based System Engineering tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler (MagicDraw) or similar.
• Experience with SysML modeling language and RAAML specifications.
• Knowledge of transmission/eDrive system components and failure modes.
• Advanced knowledge of Systems Engineering.

Responsabilités

• Model and maintain DFMEAs across legacy and future powertrains.
• Own FMA documentation (DFMEA, Boundary Diagrams, DV Plans, Quality History).
• Own lessons learned and apply to future designs via FMA and design rule processes.
• Develop system descriptions and architecture diagrams for powertrain requirements.
• Facilitate design reviews across product development, manufacturing, and quality groups.
