Electric Power Engineers is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to perform IBR dynamic modeling and bulk power system studies. You will utilize PSCAD, PSSE, and TSAT to model steady state, short circuit, and dynamic scenarios, and you will automate tasks using Python.

The role offers remote work within Mexico, with travel up to 10% and opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment with industry leaders.

Formación

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering with an emphasis in power systems.
• 3 - 4 years of experience as a power systems engineer.
• Experience with performing power system impact studies such as Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability.
• Experience with power systems software such as PSCAD, PSSE, and TSAT.
• Experience with automating/programming in Python.

Responsabilidades

• Perform detailed bulk power system studies using PSCAD, PSSE, and TSAT.
• Conduct IBR modeling: steady state, short circuit and dynamic.
• Perform various compliance technical assessments on IBR facility rating, protection coordination, ride through assessment.
• Process, generate and maintain data as required for other engineering related studies.
• Prepare technical study reports for all studies performed.
• Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.
