Bay Area Foot Care in San Pedro is seeking a Podiatrist to join our team. You will perform routine podiatric services, examine and diagnose, treat and manage wounds, and educate patients and care teams.

The role reports to the CMO and offers a competitive base salary with collections-based earnings. Requirements include a California podiatrist license, a Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine, and completion of an accredited podiatric residency.

• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
• Knowledge of information and techniques to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities.

Aufgaben

• Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
• Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
• Perform wound care management
• Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, imaging, and labs
• Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
• Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques for prevention
• Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
• Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
• Maintain medical records on assigned patients

Description

Precision Foot and Ankle is a leading podiatry practice in San Pedro dedicated to helping people of all ages and lifestyles get back to enjoying the activities they love. Precision Foot and Ankle is looking for a Podiatrist to join our team in our San Pedro office. Under the direction of the CMO, the Podiatrist provides routine and referral podiatric services to patients.

• Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
• Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
• Perform Wound Care management
• Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
• Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
• Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
• Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
• Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
• Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients

Requirements

• Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population
• Be proficient with computers, and have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR database

Education And Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred
• Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of California
• Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
• Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
