Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale core infrastructure that supports rapid company growth. You will design reliable platform services, manage cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes, and collaborate with engineering and data science teams to keep systems performant and secure.

You’ll contribute to distributed architecture and AI-native tooling, with a focus on security, observability, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year API design and development with REST/gRPC.
• 1+ year AWS and Kubernetes with service mesh knowledge (Istio/Linkerd/Cilium).
• 1+ year building architectural components such as service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, federated/polygot persistence.
• 6+ months experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills and a desire for ownership.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable platform services to support company growth.
• Measure, monitor, and optimize system performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing infrastructure-level improvements.
• Manage cloud resources and service boundaries, ensuring security and operational excellence.
• Implement best practices, methodologies, and tools to optimize the development process and increase efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to provide updates on project status, risks, and issues.
