- Define the mission, vision, and strategic objectives for the plants, establishing meaningful and measurable goals for one to three years, aligned with global business objectives. Key annual targets will include:
- Workplace Safety and Environmental Stewardship, Continuous quality improvement, Cost reduction programs, Inventory optimization, Lead time reduction, Customer satisfaction, Sales growth.
- Make critical financial decisions and manage capital assets, including the development of independent plant budgets, investment prioritization, and application of financial best practices.
- Build a high-performance organizational philosophy focused on talent development, selection, and motivation.
- Strategically communicate goals, policies, KPIs, and priorities, ensuring all employees understand their individual contribution and receive ongoing feedback on their business impact.
- Maximize return on assets through disciplined financial management focused on the EBIT/BIC ratio, reflecting operational efficiency relative to capital investment.
- Represent the company before the community, government authorities, and industry associations, positioning the company as a regional leader committed to social responsibility, local economic development, and sustainability.
Perfil buscado
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mandatory); MBA preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing, including at least 10 years in leadership roles and 7 years managing full plant operations.
- Proven track record in unionized environments, including labor relations and negotiations.
- Experience in multinational corporations, with at least 2 different sectors/industries, desirably NOT within the automotive industry.
- Demonstrated success in plant start-ups and ramp-ups.
- Strong background in supply chain management, maquiladora/IMMEX environment, and end-to-end operations.
- Deep knowledge of operational excellence methodologies (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma - Black Belt training level).
- Financial acumen with ability to interpret KPIs, EBIT/BIC ratio, cost control, and ROI-driven decision-making.
- Experience managing high-volume, high-mix operations with multiple part numbers.
- Minimum 10 years of experience reporting to international corporate headquarters, presenting business results and leading cross-border projects.
Soft Skills
- Outstanding communication skills (able to cascade KPIs down and translate data up to corporate level).
- Executive presence and self-confidence to interact with CEOs, VPs, and external stakeholders.
