An international automotive firm in Puebla, Mexico, is looking for a Plant Manager to lead plant operations and improve productivity. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree, at least 7 years of experience in plant management within the automotive industry, and a strong command of English and Spanish. This role involves developing strategic plans, managing large teams, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements.

Our client is a global Tier 1 in the automotive industry and is looking for a Plant manager, in Puebla area in Mexico.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate all plant operations (production, maintenance, quality, supply chain, HSE, engineering) ensuring safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute the plant’s strategic plan consistent with group objectives, with a focus on improving productivity, waste reduction, and cost competitiveness.
  • Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean/TPM methodologies and performance indicators (OEE, scrap rate, delivery performance, quality).
  • Oversee technical activities related to plastic parts manufacturing, ensuring robust process control, tooling management, and industrialization of new products.
  • Manage and develop a multidisciplinary management team, fostering a culture of responsibility, excellence, and innovation.
  • Maintain close contact with OEM clients and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with customer requirements and group standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14001).
  • Ensure financial control of the site, manage budgets, optimize operating costs, and coordinate industrial investments.
Profile required
  • Engineering degree with solid knowledge of industrial processes linked to the automotive sector.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in production or plant management within an automotive company, preferably plastics manufacturing environment (injection, painting, or assembly lines).
  • Proven record in managing large teams and driving industrial performance in a multinational setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset combined with an ability to lead transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent command of English and spanish
