Position Summary

Responsible for coordinating the areas under their leadership to ensure the production (manufacturing and assembly) of the operation’s products, guaranteeing quality and on-time delivery, and ensuring achievement of the operational and financial objectives established by the organization.

Responsibilities

• Deploy divisional and plant strategy to area managers and coordinators.
• Design, approve, and follow up on performance and development plans for direct reports.
• Establish and coordinate action plans to develop manufacturing procedures in accordance with established standards for the various customers supplied, to meet their requirements.
• Review, evaluate, and ensure compliance with production plans and material purchasing plans to meet demand and customer satisfaction.
• Track the progress of new products across different Parker customer product lines to plan materials, production, technology to be used, and any facility adaptations required for proper implementation.
• Design, analyze, and maintain key performance indicator (KPI) reports that reflect business performance.
• Propose improvement projects with financial impact to reduce operating costs without compromising volume or quality. Implement and sustain the High-Performance Teams methodology to develop these projects.
• Observe and implement Lean and Kaizen methodologies and initiatives that improve processes and ensure key objectives in Customer Service, Quality, Profitability, and Inventory.
• Comply with guidelines and policies issued by Corporate.
• Ensure implementation and sustainment of the 5S+1 methodology in the work area and require personnel to carry it out.

Qualifications

• +8 years of experience as an Operations Manager / VSM in a similar or related role in Engineering, Materials, or Production Control, with P&L ownership.
