Job summary

Sonoco is seeking a maintenance technician for our Querétaro RPC Plant. You will perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and systems, diagnose issues, and implement fixes to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; technical cert or assoc degree preferred.
• Proven maintenance technician experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Able to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics; interpret technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues and implement effective solutions.
• Execute repairs and replacements of faulty components to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory usage.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements for a safe work environment.
• Assist in developing maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability.
• This position is in the Querétaro RPC Plant.
