Acuity Inc. is seeking a Plant Controller for its Matamoros manufacturing facility. You will partner with plant leadership to manage month-end close, cost accounting, budgeting, and KPI reporting, ensuring strong financial performance on the shop floor.

This hands-on role requires manufacturing experience, advanced Excel, ERP proficiency, and the ability to communicate financial insights to non-finance leaders. Travel is 10-15% as needed.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting/finance experience.
  • 3+ years of finance experience within a manufacturing or maquiladora environment preferred.
  • Cost accounting experience required.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations and plant leadership.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (financial modeling required).
  • ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • KPI development and reporting.
  • Budgeting and forecasting.
  • Cost accounting.
  • Strong business partnering and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance leaders.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Highly motivated, collaborative, and self-driven.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • English proficiency (80%+ written and verbal).

Responsabilidades

  • Lead the monthly financial close process, including account reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with detailed performance analysis.
  • Develop, analyze, and report operational and financial KPIs.
  • Respond to ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
  • Prepare annual financial targets and support budgeting activities.
  • Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly production and operational meetings.
  • Drive continuous improvement in plant financial performance.
  • Build and maintain financial models and reports using Excel and ERP systems.
  • Support cost accounting activities and manufacturing financial analysis.

Job Summary

The Plant Controller serves as the primary finance business partner for the Matamoros manufacturing facility, supporting plant leadership by providing financial guidance, operational insights, and performance analysis. This role is responsible for month-end close, financial reporting, KPI analysis, cost accounting, budgeting, and driving financial performance through close collaboration with manufacturing operations. The position requires a hands‑on presence on the plant floor and strong partnership with cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
