Dematic in Monterrey, Mexico, seeks a student to help digitalize Production Planning by building Power BI dashboards, automating reporting workflows, and creating tools to simplify daily planning. You will work with SAP data and operational data to deliver reliable insights for the plant.

The role blends development and business analysis, requiring Power BI skills, Excel data handling, and intermediate English, with part-time on-site work while you complete your degree.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a technical degree.
• Power BI experience including dashboards, data modeling, Power Query, and DAX.
• Strong Excel data cleaning and transformation skills.
• Understanding of programming fundamentals and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Intermediate English and ability to collaborate with operations teams.
• Availability to work part-time at the Monterrey plant while studying.

Responsabilités

• Map existing planning processes and reporting workflows to identify automation opportunities.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards with data models, Power Query, and DAX measures.
• Automate recurring data extraction, consolidation, validation, and reporting activities using approved tools.
• Develop scripts and utilities, preferably in Python, to process operational data and reduce repetitive manual tasks.
• Integrate data from SAP exports, Excel files, and other approved sources into consistent reporting solutions.
• Build reporting capabilities for material availability, production readiness, backlog, capacity, schedule adherence, and delivery performance.
• Implement data quality checks and exception reports to identify missing, inconsistent, or duplicate information.
• Test and validate automation outputs with planners before implementation.
• Document code, data sources, business rules, and operating procedures to support maintenance and knowledge transfer.
• Support users with troubleshooting, training, and continuous improvement of developed tools.

Support the digitalization of Production Planning by developing Power BI dashboards, automating reporting workflows, and building tools that simplify daily planning activities. Tasks and Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on Power BI experience is required, including dashboard development, data modeling, Power Query, and basic DAX.
• Strong Excel skills and experience cleaning, transforming, and validating data.
• Understanding of programming fundamentals and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate with operational teams.
• Intermediate English.
• Availability to work part-time at the Monterrey plant while continuing university studies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Python experience, particularly with pandas, Excel processing, and workflow automation.
• Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, APIs, or Power Automate.
• Basic knowledge of version control, preferably Git.
• Interest in manufacturing, supply chain, and production planning.

Academic or personal projects demonstrating Power BI and automation skills are welcome; prior professional experience is not required.
