QST Solutions/Wabash Technologies seeks a Planner to support production and material planning in an automotive environment. This role ensures timely availability of materials, smooth production flow, and adherence to delivery schedules.

The candidate collaborates with production, procurement, logistics, and suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels, manage MRP activities, and analyze capacity risks. Strong Excel and ERP/MRP knowledge is required; English communication is essential.

Formación

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a planner.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in relevant field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Experience reading and leveraging MRP/ERP systems.

Responsabilidades

  • Assist in production planning and scheduling based on demand and forecasts.
  • Prepare and update daily/weekly/monthly production plans.
  • Monitor material availability and coordinate with procurement and suppliers.
  • Track inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
  • Support MRP activities and analyze capacity constraints or risks.
  • Coordinate with shop floor teams to ensure plan adherence.
  • Follow up on schedule deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain planning data in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / other).

Job Summary

The Planner supports production and material planning activities to ensure timely availability of materials, smooth production flow, and adherence to delivery schedules. The role works closely with production, procurement, logistics, and suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels and meet customer demand in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in production planning and scheduling based on customer demand and forecasts
  • Prepare and update daily/weekly/monthly production plans
  • Monitor material availability and coordinate with procurement and suppliers
  • Track inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock
  • Support MRP (Material Requirements Planning) activities
  • Analyze production data and highlight capacity constraints or risks
  • Coordinate with shop floor teams to ensure plan adherence
  • Follow up on schedule deviations and support corrective actions
  • Maintain planning data in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / other)
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
  • Basic understanding of automotive manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of production planning, supply chain, and inventory control
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Oracle preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and coordination abilities

Experience
  • Previous experience as a planner (at least 3 years of experience)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken in English
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Preferably knowledge of an ERP system and ability to read and understand an MRP (Demand vs. Supply).
  • Excellent customer service mindset, with a willingness to provide information and support to those who require it.
  • Availability to work flexible hours. We have suppliers in China and Europe, so occasional early or late meetings are required. Early means 6:00 AM and late means 6:00 PM. Time off will be compensated on a time-for-time basis.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
  • Basic knowledge of IATF 16949 processes
