Job summary

TELUS Digital is seeking contributors for its AI community who evaluate physics problems and ensure the AI’s explanations align with real-world physics. This independent contractor role focuses on grounding AI outputs in accurate physics concepts and terminology.

You will review problems, verify units and formulas, and help improve AI explanations for learners worldwide. Remote, contract-based work with flexible scheduling is offered to qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Astronomy.
• Native-level proficiency in your primary language.
• English proficiency at least B1.
• Comfort with basic calculus and algebra used in standard physics problems.

Responsibilities

• Problem Checking: Review physics problems solved by the AI and verify formulas, units, and final answers.
• Mechanical Logic: Ensure AI descriptions of physical objects are sensible (e.g., feather vs brick).
• Diagram Review: Check vectors and directions in simple force/motion diagrams.
• Explain the “Why”: Help the AI write clearer explanations of energy, light, or motion.

Job description

Do you have a background in Physics or Mechanical Engineering? AI models are getting smarter, but they often struggle with “common sense” physics—like how gravity works, how objects move, or how much force is needed to lift something. At TELUS Digital, we need people who understand the laws of the universe to check the AI’s work. You don’t need to be a coder; you just need to ensure the AI’s science is grounded in reality.

What You’ll Do

• Problem Checking: Review physics problems solved by the AI and make sure the formulas, units (like Newtons or Joules), and final answers are correct.
• Mechanical Logic: Check if the AI’s descriptions of physical objects make sense (for example, making sure it doesn’t say a feather is heavier than a brick).
• Diagram Review: Look at simple diagrams of forces or motion and ensure the AI is labeling the vectors and directions correctly.
• Explain the “Why”: Help the AI write better explanations for complex topics like energy, light, or motion so that students can learn more easily.

Qualification path

Mandatory Qualifications

• Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Astronomy
• Native Language: Native-level proficiency in your primary language. We need you to know the specific terms used in physics education in your country.
• English Proficiency: Basic (B1) English to follow our project instructions.
• Logic & Math Skills: You are comfortable with basic calculus and algebra used in standard physics problems.

Assessment

In order to be hired into our community, you’ll go through a subject-specific qualification exam that will determine your suitability for the position and complete ID verification.

Payment

Currently, pay rates for experts range from $18 – $50 USD per hour
