Paralegal & Operations

Company Description: TIL (The Investments Lawyers) is a tech-enabled boutique law firm with a focus on investment funds, syndications, and securities laws. We do GP-side fund formation, LP-side representation, and deal work (including M&A, venture financings, and real estate transactions). Our growing team (based in the United States and Mexico) combines legal, financial, and operational expertise to deliver top-tier results with a culture built on precision, hospitality, and creativity.

Role Description: This is a full-time remote position for a Paralegal & Operations professional based in Mexico. This role requires someone detail-oriented, organized, and proactive. We are informal and collegial (sometimes bordering on silly), but we do operate in a fast-paced environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating with attorneys and operations managers on the following:

  • Forming legal entities
  • Preparing initial drafts of regulatory filings
  • Communicating with clients

If you enjoy structure, problem-solving, and operational precision, this is an excellent opportunity to build and grow with a high-performance international team.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual English–Spanish, with fluent or near-fluent English.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized.
  • Comfortable working with and developing solutions for CRM tools and cloud-based systems (e.g., Clio, Coda, Slack).
  • Experience in billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience managing client relationships or CRM systems.
  • Proficiency with AI tools such as GCAI, ChatGPT, and other workflow automation platforms.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated to work independently in a remote setup.
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across North American time zones.

Bonus:

  • Experience in a law firm, legal operations, or professional services environment.
  • Basic knowledge or strong interest in learning programming languages such as Python and SQL, as well as tools like Supabase, Lovable, and Factory Bridge.
  • Sense of humor at least 7.5/10.

Why Join Us?

  • Fully remote – our team operates across North America, but we meet in person several times a year (last three were in Mexico City, Nashville, and Seattle).
  • No bureaucracy, no billable hours – we care about outcomes, not timesheets.
  • Collaborative, high-performance culture – precision, ownership, and humor encouraged.
  • Creative freedom & growth – you’ll shape how TIL communicates with the world.
  • Professional development – access to ongoing training, AI tools, and creative technologies.
  • We actually enjoy what we do.
