A leading technology firm in Reynosa seeks a Packaging Engineer to develop innovative packaging solutions. This entry-level role involves collaboration with various teams to optimize costs and quality in packaging. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and experience in packaging design. Formación

  • 3–5 years of experience in packaging design and development.
  • Familiarity with industry and regulatory standards for packaging.
  • Knowledge of packaging automation.
  • Conversational English; packaging automation knowledge.

Responsabilidades

  • Collaborates on packaging solutions focused on cost savings and sustainability.
  • Identifies and executes packaging improvement opportunities.
  • Conducts testing to evaluate packaging materials and designs.
  • Define and develop new package requirements for innovative and cost-effective packaging solutions.
  • Conduct testing to evaluate packaging materials and designs.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing to resolve packaging concerns or customer quality issues related to packaging.
  • Implement and maintain documentation (test reports, project summaries, proposals) and specifications for packaging processes and designs.
  • Interface with packaging material solution suppliers to identify and develop potential new packaging solutions.

Role Purpose
  • The Packaging Engineer collaborates, designs, validates and implements packaging solutions focused on cost savings, sustainability and meeting customer requirements. Responsible forinnovation, standardization and optimization of packaging solutions, delivering improvements in cost, capability and quality, and providing manufacturing and commercial support for packaging issues.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to identify appropriate packaging materials and develop packaging designs that meet specifications and value-added customer requirements.
  • Works with cross-functional teams including Product Line Management, Sourcing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Sustainability, customer-facing roles and key packaging suppliers to achieve Packaging Program KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Understand total cost of packaging, including materials, manufacturing, distribution, transportation, and sustainability.
  • Provide technical expertise for packaging materials, design and interface with manufacturing, technology, quality, logistics, and commercial groups.
  • Identify and execute packaging improvement opportunities to deliver cost, quality, and capability gains.
  • Define and develop new package requirements for innovative and cost-effective packaging solutions.
  • Conduct testing to evaluate packaging materials and designs.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing to resolve packaging concerns or customer quality issues related to packaging.
  • Implement and maintain documentation (test reports, project summaries, proposals) and specifications for packaging processes and designs.
  • Interface with packaging material solution suppliers to identify and develop potential new packaging solutions.
Experiences/Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in packaging design and development.
  • Knowledge of packaging processes, designs, and materials; familiarity with industry and regulatory standards for packaging.
  • Conversational English; packaging automation knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
