Formación

Overview

Amazon is seeking an Operations Manager to lead one of our Delivery Stations. Operations is at the heart of Amazon business, delivering tens of thousands of products to hundreds of countries worldwide every day. The role focuses on helping us exceed productivity goals and deliver against customer promises, in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage an environment concerning the delivery of Amazon orders directly to customers, handling high volume and complexity on a 24/7 basis
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with multiple Delivery Service Providers (DSPs)
  • Drive operational goals and metrics for the Delivery Station and communicate the vision to the team
  • Present operational metrics regularly to the senior leadership team
  • Problem-solve to close gaps between performance and goals
  • Hire and develop top talent; create and implement a talent plan including talent acquisition, performance and career management, learning and development, succession planning, and employee engagement
  • Collaborate with key business partners such as Transport & Sortation, DSP Management, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES and Engineering
A day in the life
  • Lead an operation for +30k packages; oversee On-The-Road execution with DSPs and drivers on route; develop strategies to streamline these operations
  • Lead a team of 7 managers and +100 associates; own problem-solving, decisions, and escalations for the team
  • Foster a culture of safety and protect service levels while monitoring and improving driver and associate performance
  • Assemble the right team, define tracking strategy, and control the operation to ensure timely and successful last-mile delivery
About the team

Responsible for goals in an area where the strategy may not yet be defined. Establishes workflows, SLAs, and operational excellence mechanisms at the site. Translates customer needs into effective solutions with strong business acumen, partnering with finance for cost-benefit analyses. Brings broad experience across functional and technical areas to design, develop, deploy, and maintain large-scale operations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • 5+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • 5+ years of operational experience
  • 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
  • 6+ years of People Manager experience
  • 6+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
  • Master’s degree
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification
