IHG is seeking a Reporting & Analytics professional to support the Americas Operations team. You will handle recurring reporting, translate data into clear findings, and collaborate with stakeholders to define outputs and timelines.

You will maintain dashboards, develop new reports using SQL, Tableau, GCP, and Excel, analyze trends to inform leadership decisions, and drive continuous improvement. The role is hybrid with Guadalajara office visits four days per week.

• Ability to learn new reporting tools, data sources, and business processes.

• Monitor reporting outputs and identify data quality or performance issues.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues, query errors, and data discrepancies with stakeholders and technical teams.
• Perform routine data validation and quality checks for completeness and accuracy.
• Develop new reports, dashboards, queries, and analytical outputs with guidance from business requirements.
• Translate business questions into actionable reporting and analytical deliverables.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and insights for leadership decisions.
• Incorporate stakeholder feedback to refine reporting solutions and usability.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Operational Support

• Support recurring and ad hoc reporting and analytical requests across the Americas Operations organization.
• Partner with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, understand business needs, define expected outputs, and deliver timely reporting support.
• Prioritize and complete requests accurately and in alignment with business priorities and established timelines.
• Translate data into clear findings and effectively communicate updates and insights to leadership and non-technical stakeholders.

Reporting Maintenance & Data Quality

• Maintain existing operational reports, dashboards, queries, and recurring data outputs to ensure continued accuracy, reliability, and usability.
• Monitor reporting outputs and identify potential data quality, functionality, or performance issues.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues, query errors, and data discrepancies, partnering with stakeholders and technical teams as needed to determine root causes and support resolution.
• Perform routine data validation and quality checks to ensure reporting outputs are complete and accurate.

Reporting & Analytics Development

• Develop new reports, dashboards, queries, and analytical outputs with guidance based on defined business requirements.
• Use SQL, Tableau, Tableau Prep, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Excel to support reporting, data preparation, visualization, and operational analysis.
• Translate business questions into clear, actionable reporting and analytical deliverables.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and insights that support leadership decision-making and business performance.
• Incorporate stakeholder feedback to refine reporting solutions and improve usability.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to simplify reporting processes, automate recurring outputs, and improve reporting efficiency.
• Support enhancements to existing reports and dashboards based on evolving stakeholder and business needs.
• Contribute to reporting documentation, process consistency, and the adoption of analytics tools and resources across the organization.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize work effectively, and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to communicate data, findings, and technical information clearly to leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and technical partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities such as pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, formulas, and data analysis.
• Experience with Tableau and Tableau Prep.
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud-based data environments.
• Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to review, maintain, and modify existing queries.
• Experience with Python, including the ability to review, troubleshoot, and maintain existing code and processes.
• Ability to learn new reporting tools, data sources, and business processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing reports, dashboards, or data visualizations.
• Experience working with operational or business performance data.
• Experience with Python or other analytical programming languages.
• Experience identifying opportunities for reporting automation or process improvement.

Please note that this is a hybrid position and requires going to the Guadalajara office 4 times per week.
