Areas of interest include but are not limited to Cancer Biology, Neurological Disorders, Infectious Diseases, Physiology, AI and Computational Biology, and Chemical Biology.

This faculty opening will be valid for a long time. Areas of recruitment will be dynamically adjusted in line with the development plans of SZBL and will be announced in a timely manner. Basic qualifications for Senior PIs

Possession of a tenured professor position or equivalent positions in well-known universities or research institutions at home and abroad; Recognized academic achievements and contributions; Evidence of international reputation and influence; Excellence in teaching graduate classes and mentorship of young researchers; Ability to lead the development of disciplines or catch up with the international advanced level.

Basic qualifications for Tenured PIs

Possession of a tenured associate professor or an equivalent position in well-known universities or research institutions at home and abroad; Outstanding capability to conduct innovative research and potential to become a leader in the field; Excellence in teaching and mentoring graduates; Evidence of international recognition.

Basic qualifications for Junior PIs

Possession of a Ph.D. degree and postdoctoral research experience; Academic achievements comparable to those of an assistant professor or equivalent position in well-known universities or research institutions at home and abroad; Recognized innovative research capabilities within the academic field; The ability to conduct independent research and potential for obtaining tenure positions.

Job Responsibilities

Follow the basic goals and development plans of SZBL, independently lead research groups to conduct innovative scientific research. Independently apply for various scientific research projects and funds. Manage research groups, and guide the research work of group members. Mentor graduate students and teach graduate courses; Actively participate in relevant activities of SZBL, including academic conferences, graduate admission, talent recruitment, and academic exchanges and collaboration, etc.
