Job summary

Intuitive is seeking a Medical Image Annotation Technician to support Ion's Machine Learning Engineering team. You will annotate CT, MRI, ultrasound, and bronchoscopy images to create high-quality ground truth datasets for imaging algorithms.

The role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to SOPs, and collaboration with engineers and clinical experts to refine guidelines. Onsite work and a fast-paced environment are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output.
• Ability to follow structured workflows and repeat processes at scale.
• Solid communication and documentation skills.
• Comfort working with software tools and computer-based tasks.
• Reliable, disciplined work ethic.
• Fluency in Spanish and English preferred.
• Experience with medical imaging software (3D Slicer, ITK-SNAP, OsiriX).
• Familiarity with DICOM data and imaging concepts.
• Prior experience in data annotation, QA, or regulated environments.
• Basic understanding of human anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and semi-automated segmentation of anatomical structures in medical images.
• Follow SOPs to ensure consistent, high-quality annotations.
• Conduct self-review and quality checks on completed work.
• Document workflows, issues, and edge cases clearly.
• Collaborate with engineers and clinical experts to refine annotation guidelines.
