Job summary

BekaertDeslee group in Mexico is seeking a Pattern Designer to create, develop and optimize textile patterns and templates for production, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability.

You will collaborate with Design, Sampling, Engineering and Production teams, validate specs, perform fit tests and support NPIs to deliver on-time launches. Experience in CAD pattern design and pattern fitting will help you drive efficient layout and fabric utilization.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional experience in a similar production-oriented role.
• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field.
• Conversational English.
• Development and creation of textile patterns.
• Proficiency in CAD software for pattern design.
• Pattern fitting and grading for production.
• Knowledge of textile manufacturing processes.

Job description

Design, develop, and optimize patterns and templates for textile product manufacturing, ensuring technical accuracy, standardization, and manufacturability. Ensure seamless design-to-production transfer by validating specifications, conducting fit testing, and collaborating closely with Design, Sampling, Engineering, and Production teams, contributing to quality standards, operational efficiency, and on-time launches for NPI project

• Analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications provided by the client for the development of patterns and cutting processes
• Evaluate customer requirements to ensure proper implementation within production processes
• Utilize internal software for the programming and operation of automated cutting machines
• Optimize fabric utilization through proper pattern layout and configuration for cutting processes
• Create and manage part numbers in SAP according to the client’s technical specifications
• Provide support in the preparation and management of templates for cutting orders
• Provide technical support in the operation and adjustment of automated cutting machines
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Product Development teams to ensure the proper execution of cutting processes
• Validate that patterns and cutting configurations comply with quality standards and customer requirements

Profile

• 2 to 5 years of professional experience in a similar position, ideally in a production-oriented environment
• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field
