SCITUM is seeking a Network Security Engineer specializing in Palo Alto to manage and optimize perimeter security for clients. The role involves hands-on firewall configuration, policy management, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1–2 years of Palo Alto experience, with Proofpoint certifications preferred. This is an on-site position in Monterrey with regular weekday hours.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience managing and administering firewalls, primarily Palo Alto.
• Palo Alto and Proofpoint certifications preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and administer Palo Alto firewalls.
• Create, modify, and remove security policies and rules.
• Troubleshoot network security issues including NAT and VPN tasks.
• Perform log and traffic analysis and packet capture.
• Assist in change management and incident handling.

Role Overview:We are looking for a professional with hands-on experience in Palo Alto firewall management and administration, including direct involvement in configurations, changes, troubleshooting, and handling perimeter security requests.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field. Degree required.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience managing and administering firewalls, primarily Palo Alto.
• Preferred certifications: Palo Alto and Proofpoint.

Required Technical Knowledge

• Administration and configuration of Palo Alto firewalls.
• Creation, modification, and removal of security policies and rules.
• NAT and VPN.
• Objects and object groups.
• Security Profiles.
• Network and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Log and traffic analysis.
• Packet capture and analysis.
• Change management.
• Initial handling of security incidents and service requests.
• Proofpoint knowledge is desirable.

Location and Work Schedule

• Work model: On-site, providing remote support to clients.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, either 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Availability to participate in scheduled change windows or support activities outside regular business hours when required.
